Briggs & Stratton/Vanguard OEM, 16A, voltage regulator works similar to an alternator by providing a low-voltage recharge for the battery while the engine is running.
Usage
The engine stator produces 28V of AC electricity that goes into the the two yellow wires, the regulator changes this to 12V of DC electricity. If the unit battery is not recharging electrical troubleshooting can be done at the regulator to determine if the regulator or engine stator is the cause.
