Unlike most other protectants that must be applied to dry wood, SurfaceShield can be applied to building materials with a moisture content of 11%-30%. Used as the final step on remediation jobs or in new construction, it protects against damage and staining from mold and mildew. Unsoot #1 helps to improve indoor air quality, particularly in structures affected by fire or smoke damage, including "puff backs" and furnace malfunctions. This product creates a long-lasting barrier that helps prevent the release of particulates, which can irritate breathing and carry strong odors.
