True HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filtration requires a totally sealed system to ensure that all air passing through the system exhausts through the filter. Only clean air comes out. This system filters 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 micron, which is 250 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair.
Commonly found in the 3000 Series, 6000 Series, and the 5400 Series of Eureka Sanitaire vacuums.
