The Portamix MEGA HIPPO holds up to 23 gallons (350 lbs or 6-bag batches) of material at full-brim capacity, making it easy to mix in bulk. Mixed material can be dispensed into small containers or poured directly onto the floor. This unit is ideal for consecutive batch mixing without downtime.

Achieve Consistent Mixing

The Portamix MEGA HIPPO comes with two 9” diameter paddles with helix ribbon and sidebars to lift and shear product quickly. The specially shaped mixing bowl eliminates pockets of unmixed product, ensuring consistent and thorough mixing of colors and additives.

Easy to Clean

The resilient, pliable liner is designed to allow for easy cleaning at the end of the job. It is recommended that liners be alternated to prevent cross-contamination.

Easy Maneuvering, Easy Handling

The Portamix MEGA HIPPO easily rolls along on a built-in trolley, so you can position it exactly where you need it. Wheel covers ensure that the casters remain free of screed splatter.

The easy-tilt cradle lets you pour and spread material at the same time. Multi-stage pours to achieve a thicker screed are often not necessary.

Use with a Variety of Compounds

The Portamix MEGA HIPPO can be used with a variety of compounds, including cement screeds, overlay, underlay, textured coatings, sealants, adhesives, epoxies, resins, pre-tinted material and other polymer self-leveling compounds.

Designed to Reduce Airborne Dust and Liquid Splatter

The Portamix MEGA HIPPO features a new canister cover and vacuum port, which helps control both dust and liquid splatter, ensuring you comply with OSHA regulations. Job sites are left cleaner and air quality—not to mention worker health—is protected.

The Portamix MEGA HIPPO can also be used without the lid to mix non-dust-generating products, such as cementitious urethane, epoxy self-levelers, and slurries.
