Jon-Don Policy Guidelines

Open Accounts: We offer open accounts to qualified customers. Please be aware that we process applications as quickly as possible. However, we ask for your patience as processing of your application can take 1 to 2 weeks. Many companies that are used as credit references will respond only to written requests for information. Until an open account is established, purchases must be shipped prepaid by Discover, Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Once an Open Account is established, payment terms are net 30 days from the date of invoice. Monthly statements are not sent out, so customers are expected to pay from the invoice. To maintain open account status, invoices must be paid within the terms stated. No orders will be shipped on past due accounts until the outstanding balance has been paid in full. A PDF version of the application is available for download or you can call or e-mail us to have an application sent to you. Applications must be signed and then faxed or mailed back to us in order to complete processing.

Discover, VISA, MasterCard, American Express: For you convenience, we accept Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express. Many of our customers appreciate the flexibility of applying purchases to their credit card to avoid C.O.D. charges.

Back Orders: As hard as we try, there are times when we must back order items you want. We maintain a computerized back order file and automatically will ship items to you as soon as they become available. If you do not want back orders shipped, please inform us and we will mark your records accordingly.

Equipment Warranty: All equipment is sold with a factory warranty. Should a problem arise, we ask that you return the defective item so that we may forward it to the manufacturer. To avoid costly down time, we will ship and bill you for a replacement part. When the factory qualifies the part under the terms of the stated warranty, we will credit your account for the price of the replacement item. In the event that the factory does not cover the replacement under the warranty, we will inform you of the reason why and appeal their decision, if so desired. In the event that the warranty is still denied, we will process the replacement part invoice for payment.

Warranty Plus: When you choose Jon-Don for your equipment purchases, you automatically receive our Warranty Plus coverage*. With Jon-Don Warranty Plus, you receive 100% of the manufacturer’s warranty coverage plus Jon-Don’s repair center will perform free labor on all warranty replacement parts. Whether the manufacturer offers no or limited warranty labor coverage, Jon-Don will automatically cover the installation labor cost of warranty parts. Jon-Don also covers all normal freight costs associated with shipping your warranty part inside the continental U.S. to and from our repair centers. To qualify, you need to purchase your equipment from Jon-Don and the warranty repair must take place in one of our Jon-Don repair centers.

*Solid state electronics, such as meters, thermal imaging cameras, and circuit boards are not covered under the Jon-Don Warranty Plus program, but they do qualify for 100% of the manufacturer's warranty coverage.

Technical Support: We are pleased to offer a Technical Support Department staffed by highly experienced representatives who participate in an on-going training to keep abreast of the latest industry developments. We welcome your questions, problems, and comments. If we are unable to answer a question or solve a problem, we will be happy to call on industry leaders to provide the correct information. Policy Changes: Many changes occur beyond our control that may affect pricing and availability of items that qualify for our free freight program. We reserve the right to make any additions, deletions or substitutions of qualifying items at any time and without prior notice.

Tax Collection Policy: 
Jon-Don collects sales tax in accordance with the laws of the states and localities in which we are located. Generally, orders shipped to or picked up from Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Viginia, Wisconsin or Wyoming will be taxed, unless you have a valid exemption or resale certificate on file with us. This tax amount will not be calculated until the order has been finalized at Jon-Don. 

There may be exceptions for certain orders, however, the local tax laws will always determine the tax charged.

International Order terms:

  • All International Orders
    - $1,000 minimum order requirement without approval.
    - Order entry must identify shipping mode (Air, Ground, Ocean)
    - Some items may be restricted from international shipment. This is determined during item set up.
    - Whenever possible we should drop ship to the international customer rom the supplier.

    International (except Canada)
    - Freight Terms:
    o Ex Works - Customer is responsible for all charges and arrangements from pick Up at
    Jon-Don to delivery at their door.
    o Free on Board - Jon-Don is responsible for arrangement of freight from our dock to the
    customer’s named port of entry into their country. Customer is responsible for
    everything after that (customs clearance, duties, taxes, inland freight). All charges will
    be passed through to the customer.

    - Freight Terms:
    o Ex Works - Customer is responsible for all charges and arrangements from pick Up at
    Jon-Don to delivery at their door.
    o Delivered Duties Paid – Jon-Don is responsible for all freight arrangements from pick up
    to delivery at the customer’s door and will pass through all charges to the customer.

    Puerto Rico
    - Jon-Don can handle shipment from door to door
    - Customer is required to pay the Hacienda Tax upon arrival of directly to the PR gov’t
