The Metabo Electronic Variable Speed 4.5-Inch/5-Inch Angle Grinder is designed to deliver more power and last longer than competing grinders. With its 900-watt motor, this robust angle grinder delivers a no-load adjustable speed of 2,800–9,600 RPM! It is engineered for optimum processing of concrete and stone.

The Vario-Tacho-Constamatic (VTC) feature allows users to work in customized speeds for material-friendly working. Speeds remain almost constant, even under load.

The patent-pending Metabo Longlife motor delivers up to 50% more torque and 20% higher overload capacity. It quickly removes materials, plus includes better overload protection for long service life. The electronic soft start makes for a smooth startup every time.

The motor is protected by auto-stop carbon brushes. The gear housing can be turned in 90-degree steps to allow for comfortable grinding or cutting by both left- and right-handed operators. 

This angle grinder offers a number of important safety features. It has a Metabo S-automatic safety clutch, which allows for direct mechanical decoupling. In case of jamming, kickback is minimized for improved safety. This unit also includes restart protection to prevent unintentional startup after the power is cut. The guard is adjustable without tools and features twist-proof mounting.
