Product Description

Matrix Citrusolve gently yet powerfully removes a wide variety of stains, even on stain-resistant carpets. It is a double-duty pre-spray and spotter with grease and soil-cutting power and a pleasant citrus scent.

Citrusolve’s powerful formula is made from a special blend of solvents, including those made from citrus rinds. It works fast on hard-to-remove oil and water-based spots, cutting through and liquefying them for easy, thorough rinsing.

Citrusolve works great as a ready-to-use spotter for those tough super-sticky spots, or you can dilute 8-10 oz per gallon of water for an all around soil-busting pre-spray.

Safe for use on stain-resistant carpet.

Usage

Usage Instructions (Pre-spray):

  1. Always pretest in an inconspicuous area for color fastness.
  2. Dilute 8-10 ounces of Citrusolve into pump-up sprayer, inline sprayer, or extractor and apply to carpet.
  3. Extract with hot water extraction as normal.

Usage Instructions (Ready-to-use Spotter):

  1. Always pretest in an inconspicuous area for color fastness.
  2. Apply Citrusolve undiluted to spot. Gently agitate with a bone spatula. Blot with a spotting towel.
  3. Thoroughly rinse with water.

Grease, Oil, and Tar Removal from Carpet:

Grease, oil, and tar are sticky substances in carpet. If not completely removed, they can cause resoiling due to the sticky residue attracting more dirt. These substances can come from the outside asphalt, garages, or even from machinery involved in a work site.

Recommended Basic Method:

  1. Using a bone spatula, remove any excess grease, oil, or tar.
  2. Apply a citrus solvent undiluted to spot and agitate with a bone spatula. Use caution and don't over-wet carpet because the citrus solvent has the potential to delaminate the carpeting.
  3. Using an extraction machine, rinse with water.
  4. Apply a P.O.G. undiluted. Agitate with a bone spatula.
  5. Using an extraction machine, rinse thoroughly.

Warning: Always test materials for colorfastness, follow label directions, and never mix products unless specified in the label directions. Each situation reacts differently and results may vary.
