How to Remove Makeup from Carpet

Facial makeup is oil-based. The color is generally light brown to darker tan.

 

Basic Method

  1. Apply Matrix Break Down POG undiluted to a spotting towel. Tamp and blot the towel against the spot with a spotting brush. CAUTION: Avoid over-application of Break Down POG as it can delaminate the carpet.
  2. Repeat step 1 until no more transfer is observed.
  3. Apply Matrix Spot Out undiluted. Tamp and blot with a spotting brush and spotting towel.
  4. Apply Matrix Release undiluted. Tamp and blot with a spotting brush and spotting towel.
  5. Rinse area with water.

 


 

How to Remove Lipstick from Carpet

This spot is generally found in a bathroom or near a vanity. Lipstick is a greasy spot that can be a multitude of colors.

 

Basic Method

  1. Scrape away excess lipstick with a bone spatula.
  2. Dry blot with paper towels
  3. Apply Matrix Orange Power Gel undiluted. Tamp and blot with a spotting towel and spotting brush.
  4. Apply Matrix Breakdown POG undiluted. Tamp and blot with a spotting towel and spotting brush.
  5. Rinse area with water.
  6. Apply Matrix Release undiluted. Tamp and blot with a spotting towel and spotting brush.
  7. Rinse area thoroughly with water.

 

Warning: Always test material for colorfastness, follow label directions, and never mix product unless specified in the label directions. Each situation reacts differently and results may vary.
