This male locking inlet is typically panel-mounted on the piece of equipment receiving the power.
The flange provides convenient screws holes for mounting. While there is a NEMA standard for 50-amp locking plugs, it has not been adopted by the industry. Instead a California standard for 50-amp is widely accepted.
