Desert Brand Bonder 480, 5 GL

Desert Brand Bonder 480 is an aqueous all-acrylic polymer designed to adhere fiberglass matting or polyester reinforcing roofing fabric to various walking deck surfaces. When used with ¾ oz. per sq. ft. fiberglass matting, Bonder 480 will adhere to wood, concrete, polymer modified concrete, pre-sealed magnesite, elastomeric, and other various proprietary decking systems. Its tough, durable, water-resistant properties will enhance the water resistance and overall service life of an existing walking deck system.

Application of Desert Brand Desert Crete Texture and pigmented Desert Brand Concrete/Masonry Floor Paint and Sealer (CMFPS) will further complete and enhance the overall walking deck system.

Application

• Clean surface - surface must be dry, clean, and free of grease, oil, dirt, wax, or other foreign matter
• Make certain that previously applied coatings or decking systems are secure prior to application
• Perform a small test sample upon the specific substrate with a 24 hour cure time to determine the best method of application and desired results
• Shake contents gently before use
• Product is RTU; apply as is with ¾ - 1” nap roller
• Generously apply material by working into fiberglass matting or polyester reinforcing roofing fabric
• Bonder 480 is designed to penetrate and soak through the matting, thereby adhering the matting to the surface.
