Product Description
Powerful Filtration That Makes Indoor Spaces Safer
The Bio Air Scrubber circulates ambient air through its 4-stage air purification system. It has 4 stages of air purification, which includes a two-stage pre-filter, an antimicrobial MERV 8 filter, dual EPA-registered Smart UV-C Germicidal Lights, and a HEPA filter. Think of it as a powerful commercial-grade air purifier.
This air purification system is so small it can be placed inconspicuously in the corner of a room or beside a piece of furniture in a library or office. It is so quiet that the room's occupants will barely notice.
At just 47 decibels, this whisper-quiet air scrubber will not hinder conversation or disturb students or employees.
Perfect for schools, offices, warehouses, hospitals, museums, and libraries, the Bio Air Scrubber is a powerful tool to filter out harmful contaminants in any occupied space.
UV-C Lights - What Are They, and Why Are They Important
UV-C light is a very effective way of killing and preventing pathogens from replicating. The Bio Air Scrubber comes with two UV-C lamps. According to the FDA, UV-C radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. UV-C radiation has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of bacteria. UV-C radiation is commonly used inside air ducts to disinfect the air.

Choose the Right Air Scrubber by Room Size
For the best results, be sure to calculate the right number of air scrubbers for your space. Begin by calculating how many cubic feet are in the space. You can calculate this by multiplying the square footage of the room by the ceiling height.
Length x Width x Height = Cubic Feet
For example: 15 x 40 x 8 = 4,800 cubic feet
Once you have determined the cubic feet in the room, you need to determine how many air changes per hour (ACH) are required for your space. Experts recommend 3 to 4 air changes per hour for occupied rooms, though you will want to check any local regulations in your area.
Next, in order to select the correct amount of air scrubbers required to obtain the best results, you need to determine the cubic feet per minute (CFM). Do this by multiplying the cubic feet by the recommended number of air changes per hour (3 or 4) or whatever number your local regulations require, and then divide by 60.
Cubic Feet x # of preferred ACH (air changes per hour) = CFM
60
4,800 cubic feet x 4 ACH = 320 CFM
60
Compare the CFM score you get for the targeted area to the air scrubber's specs for CFM. That way you can determine the right number of air scrubbers for the job. The figure you arrive at should be less than or equal to the air scrubber's CFM specs.
