Product Description

HI-TECH is a floor finish specifically designed for high-speed maintenance programs. Formulated with a blend of pressure emulsified thermoplastics, this high-solids finish creates a shine superior to conventional acrylic finishes.

Betco HI-TECH contains no dark resins, so the true color of the floor shines through. It leaves a high-gloss wet look and responds well to buffing and burnishing from 300–2,000 RPM.

With self-leveling and self-sealing properties, HI-TECH is easy to apply and reduces costs. One gallon covers 2,000–3,000 square feet, and each coat dries in just 20–30 minutes.

Uses

  • Resilient tile
  • Terrazzo
  • Concrete
  • Cork
  • Linoleum
  • Rubber

Maintenance

  • Moderate burnishing required
  • Low/high speed compatible

Usage

RESTORATIVE MAINTENANCE:

  1. Completely remove all old wax, finish and soil from floor surface following strip procedure instructions on stripper label.
  2. Floor surface must be clean, dry, and free of residue before finish is applied.
  3. Rinse with clean water if necessary.
  4. Apply finish in uniform, thin to medium coats using a clean synthetic finish mop or applicator system. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying additional coats, usually 20-30 minutes. 4-6 coats of finish are recommended.
  5. Note: This product is a self-sealing finish, however, if tile is old, worn, or porous, initially applying 1-2 coats of a sealer will enhance gloss and long-term performance.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE:

  1. Sweep large debris and dust mop (using a water-based treatment).
  2. Damp mop or automatic scrub using a neutral pH cleaner.
  3. Buff or burnish the floor as desired. The use of a cleaner/restorer is recommended to condition the floor and extend the time between top scrub and recoating.

INTERIM MAINTENANCE:

  1. Sweep large debris and dust mop (using a water-based treatment).
  2. Top scrub the floor using a top scrub cleaner and recommended floor pad to remove the top soiled layers of finish.
  3. Floor surface must be clean, dry, and free of residue before finish is applied. Apply 1-2 coats of finish as directed above.
  4. Note: Slip resistance meets or exceeds (ASTM D 2047-93) James Machine 0.5 minimum.
