L&M™ LUMISEAL FX™, 5 GL

LUMISEAL FX is a high solids, water-based, non-yellowing, blush resistant curing and sealing compound.

When used as a sealer, LUMISEAL FX is designed to provide an attractive medium gloss finish on concrete substrates.

This sealer is formulated with advanced, self-crosslinking emulsion chemistry, providing a very durable film and excellent early water-resistance to whitening or blistering.

LUMISEAL FX is suitable for use on interior, exterior, horizontal and vertical surfaces. It is recommended to seal new and old concrete surfaces including decorative, colored, and stamped concrete. Other applications include exposed aggregate, brick pavers, polished concrete and other concrete surfaces where a durable gloss and stain resistant sealer is required.

The durable film of LUMISEAL FX bonds easily to clean concrete surfaces and assures improved resistance to contaminants, stains, and abrasion. LUMISEAL FX offers superior protection when used over properly densified surfaces. The advanced self-crosslinking chemistry of LUMISEAL FX transforms the easy-to-spray, pure acrylic polymer solution into a very hard, clear resin film that resists abrasion, and staining.

Approximate Coverage

• First coat - 200-400 ft2/gal (4.9 to 9.8 m2/L)
• Second coat - 400-600 ft2/gal (9.8 to 14.7 m2/L)
• Decorative concrete - 300 ft2/gal (7.3 m2/L)
• Top coat for polished concrete: 800-1,000 ft2/gal (20 to 25 m2/liter)

Installation

Freshly placed concrete: Surface must be finished to specified requirements prior to the application of LUMISEAL FX™. Apply one uniform coat with low pressure spray and roller after surface water glaze has disappeared. Do not dilute or puddle. A second sealing coat may be applied any time afterward. Apply to freshly poured concrete after surface water has evaporated. Too much surface water can be detrimental to proper film formation.

Existing Concrete: Surface must be degreased and cleaned of all contaminants with CITREX™ prior to the application of LUMISEAL FX. Dilute with 25-50% water before applying to polished concrete. After dry, apply one or two uniform coats using a microfiber applicator, without puddling, as needed. Allow first coat to dry 2-3 hours before applying the second coat. Dry to the touch in 1 hour. Can be ready for foot traffic in 12 hours. When re-sealing driveways, recommended wait time is 24 hours for vehicular traffic. May require additional coats. NOTE: LUMISEAL FX can be applied as a topical sealer on FGS PERMASHINE polished concrete.

Cleaning: Clean applicator equipment with water before sealer dries. After it dries, use aromatic solvent.
