Product Description
Lightweight and disposable, 3M 8233 N100 Particulate Respirators are designed to help provide comfortable, reliable worker respiratory protection against certain non-oil based particulates.

When properly fitted, use in a variety of applications, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soldering, and exposure to lead, cadmium, arsenic, and 4,4'–Methylenedianiline (MDA).
Use for the following:
- Solids, such as those from processing minerals, coal, iron ore, flour, and other certain substances
- Liquid or non-oil-based particles from sprays that do not also emit harmful vapors
- Metal fumes produced from welding, cutting, and other operations involving heating of metals
- Certain radioactive particulate material
Do not use for the following:
- Gases, vapors, including those present in paint spraying operations, asbestos, or sandblasting
- Aerosol concentrations that exceed 10 times the OSHA PEL, or applicable government regulations, whichever is lower
- Do not use the 8233 for oil aerosols. These respirators do not supply oxygen
Usage
Before using these respirators, you must determine the following:
- The type of contaminant(s) for which the respirator is being selected.
- The concentration level of contaminant(s).
- Whether the respirator can be properly fitted on the wearer’s face. (e.g., Do not use with beards, facial hair, or other conditions that prevent a good seal between the face and the face seal of the respirator.)
- Before use of these respirators, a written respiratory protection program must be implemented, meeting all the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134, including training, medical evaluation, and fit testing.
Time Use Limitation:
If respirator becomes damaged, soiled, or breathing becomes difficult, leave the contaminated area immediately and dispose of the respirator.
