The 3M™ Particulate Filter 5P71, P95 offers simplicity and ease of use while helping to provide reliable worker protection against certain oil and non-oil-containing aerosols. It passes NIOSH testing criteria providing a minimum filter efficiency of 95%.
These filters help provide respiratory protection from particulate contaminant concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces and 50 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with quantitatively fit tested full facepieces.
Comfort and versatility
- Use on top of 3M™ 603 Filter Holder and 3M™ 501 Retainer to reduce particulate exposure
- Use on top of 3M™ 5000 Series Respirators or 6000 Series gas and vapor cartridges with 3M™ 501 Retainer when particles are also present
- Wide range of applications reduces inventory needs and training requirements.
Use For:
- Oil and non-oil-based particles, including paint sprays and pesticides (with appropriate gas and vapor cartridges)
Usage
Fit Testing
Before use of this respirator,a written respirator protection program must be implemented meeting all the requirements of OSHA 20 CFR 1910.134 such as training and fit testing.
